Accounting Manager

About the Role:We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead the accounting department and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and capable of driving improvements in financial processes to support the company’s strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Fixed Assets.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in compliance with IFRS and company policies.Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities and provide variance analysis and recommendations.Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to management to support strategic decisions.Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to optimize liquidity.Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, tax filings, and other statutory obligations.Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.Ensure accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.Support management with feasibility studies, cost analysis, and financial modeling for new projects.Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.Provide leadership, guidance, and training to accounting staff to ensure continuous development and high performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, HR, operations) to ensure alignment of financial processes and reporting.Drive automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency in financial reporting and control.Safeguard company assets by ensuring robust internal control mechanisms are in place.Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and board reviews as required.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT, and local compliance requirements.Proven experience managing audits and preparing financial statements.Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
