The group has increased its assets under management from under £200 million to over £1 billion in just a few years. Due to their great growth, they are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team in a newly created role.This is the perfect opportunity for a recent grad with a relevant internship or a candidate with a years accounts payable experience looking to develop their career in a fast moving environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and post supplier invoices into the accounting systemPrepare and carry out weekly/monthly payment runsLiaise with managers for invoice approvalsResolve supplier queries and reconcile statementsGenerate customer invoices within the accounting systemMonitor accounts receivable to ensure timely paymentsSupport credit control processes when neededConduct regular bank reconciliationsAssist with month-end closing processesMaintain accurate records and ensure ledgers are currentProvide ad-hoc support to the wider finance teamContribute to process improvement initiativesKey RequirementsPrevious experience in a similar finance or ledger-based roleCompetency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel is ideal but not essentialExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage time effectivelyACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualification (or currently studying) is desirable but not essentialMust have a recent degree in Accounting/Finance/EconomicsThey are looking to offer the successful candidate £30,000 with study support and other great benefits.If this sounds like you please do get in touch here or via my email emma.quin@tracerecruit.comAt Trace, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace and believe that, in any business, it is imperative that all members of staff feel appreciated and respected in their roles.
