We will continue to invest in our biggest asset: our amazing team.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for an early-career finance or accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.As an Accounts Assistant, you will support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and supplier communications. You will play an important role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across our finance function, while working closely with procurement and commercial teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage supply chain payment email inboxesEnsure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable (subcontractor and supplier) invoicesReconcile supplier accounts and resolve aged debit and credit balancesRespond to supplier, customer, and internal finance queriesProcess employee expense transactions and company credit card transactionsCollaborate with commercial and procurement teams to resolve invoice queries and ensure timely paymentsPrepare weekly payment runs and upload payments to the bank account for approvalAssist in maintaining accurate digital and physical financial recordsSupport the finance team with general administrative tasks and reporting dutiesSkills & Qualifications1 – 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance support role (construction industry experience is a plus)Strong understanding of VAT, CIT, and related regulationsProficient in MS Excel and accounting software; experience with COINS ERP is highly desirableExperience working in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsFluent in written and spoken English; Dutch language skills are desirable but not essentialKey Attributes & CompetenciesDemonstrates diplomacy, professionalism, confidentiality, and impartialityStrong communicator with the ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance colleaguesAdaptable and flexible—able to manage shifting priorities and take initiativeTech-savvy, with a hands-on approach to problem-solvingReliable, self-motivated, and a team playerPersonally accountable with a high level of ownership over assigned tasksLanguagesEnglish: Fluent (required)Dutch and/or French: Highly desirableWhat We OfferA unique opportunity to help shape finance operations in a high-growth, dynamic companyA collaborative and supportive team environment where innovation and well-being are valuedThe potential for career progression and role development as the finance team continues to growExposure to cross-functional teams and end-to-end finance processesA culture that values openness, accountability, and continuous learningImportantAs part of our recruitment process, reference checks will be conducted at the job offer stage.
