Job DescriptionWood is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Baku, Azerbaijan.Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the worldChecking and scanning of supplier invoices into the accounts payable system.Expediting internal approval of invoices & monitoring supplier payments.Liaison with supply chain function and supplier focal points.Filing of accounts payable invoices.Ensuring correct intercompany agreements in place.Managing & reviewing intercompany invoices.Monthly Reconciliation of Accounts Payable & Intercompany Account Payable. ResponsibilitiesPreparation of payments for supplier invoices and intercompany invoices.Reviewing and preparing weekly payment run.Maintaining a register of all foreign currency payments with proper details.Timely submission of documentation to the bank to formally close foreign payment obligations in accordance with CBA regulations.Monitor vendor account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Preparing monthly AR/AP Intercompany Report and AR/AP Intercompany Reconciliation sheet.QualificationsPrior accounting experience in a similar role.Degree in economics/finance.Good command of English and Azerbaijani.Basic knowledge of Azeri local legislation,MS Excel intermediate user.Experience with ERPs.ACCA (F3) is an advantage.Good self-management and organisational skillsStrong written and oral communication skills for regular interaction with supply chain function and suppliers.Proactive attitude and ability to take initiativeAbility to operate in a multi-cultural environmentAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
