We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.Role DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of initiative in improving processes and have a high attention to detail. This role will be responsible for setting up vendors, inputting bills within our AP system, processing employee expenses, and other ad hoc projects. Your ability to work both independently and as a member of a small but nimble team is critical, as well as your agility to work within a fast-paced, early-stage company. This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant looking to expand their experience and grow with the Company.Core ResponsibilitiesInputting invoices into our AP moduleEnsuring bills are paid on timeAbility to communicate with department leads Enforcing our expenditure approval process for purchasing and paymentsReconciling credit card transactionsProcessing Employee ExpensesVendor Set UpCreating and Processing Purchase OrdersSupport the Accruals ProcessGeneral Journal Entries to support bank reconciliationsHelp prepare Month End working papersHelp prepare Quarter End working papersPrepare Bank ReconciliationsIdentify and lead process improvements within the AP functionAd Hoc workPreferred QualificationsExperience with the AP function2+ years of audit or corporate accounting experience preferredSelf-starter who is motivated to find process improvementsBasic knowledge of accounting principlesAttention to detail is a mustProficient in Microsoft Office suiteAbility to adapt to a system conversion as we growOptimistic and flexible with changeWe are building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
