Job Description
HireLoft Recruitment is working with a client in Vaughan to hire an Accounts Payable Manager who can take ownership of the Accounts Payable function and lead a small team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also stepping into a leadership capacity.What You’ll DoLead and mentor an AP team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.Manage all day-to-day AP activities, including invoice processing, vendor payments (EFT, cheques, wires), and reconciliations.Oversee month-end AP close, ensuring accuracy and supporting a 3-day close target.Ensure compliance with HST/GST/QST and maintain internal controls.Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to resolve issues quickly and support business needs.Support ERP processes (Great Plains experience is an asset) and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.Prepare audit documentation and maintain audit-ready processes.What We’re Looking For5+ years of progressive AP experience, including supervisory or leadership exposure.Strong knowledge of AP processes, coding, and accounting fundamentals.ERP experience (Great Plains preferred, but open to others).Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and problem-solving skills.Process improvement mindset, with experience driving efficiency and standardization.Why JoinCollaborative 9–5 work culture with work-life balance.Hybrid setup (3 days in-office in Vaughan).Growth opportunity for someone stepping up from a Supervisor or Senior AP role.About UsAt HireLoft Recruitment, we partner with employers who value long-term employee relationships, career growth, and stability.
