The candidate will be exposed to various AP functions and be responsible for day-to-day activities in the areas of PO and Non-PO Posting, Reporting and Vendor/Stakeholder Queries. The candidate will be leading a team of ~8 including a 2IC who will be crossed trained in key AP Manager Tasks.Make an Impact by:Oversees PO and Non‑PO invoice processing while ensuring all service level requirements are met, including collaborating with the IT team to resolve technical issues related to SAP postings and the e‑invoice platform, as well as managing supplier and stakeholder inquiries regarding invoice status.Liaises with vendors, various AP teams, internal stakeholders across Optus to resolve invoicing issues.Liaises with onshore AP Team Lead on any urgent escalations or issues.Educates internal/ external parties on use of Ivalua / new systems.Perform, Submit and Approve Monthly Blackline GL reconciliations for Finance Mgr. review.Run and report monthly to the business on Parked/Cleared invoices, SMB PTRS, AP performance and KPI’s.Assist the Corporate & Finance Operations Manager with internal and external audit requests.Drive process improvement initiatives relating to PO invoice processing, including process design and streamlining.Assist on project implementation relating to process improvement, system implementation & payment initiative (requirement gathering, data migration, UAT etc).Ensure policies, procedures are followed and key controls are in place.Skills for Success:At least a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy is required.Minimum 7 years of working experience in Accounts Payable function with at least 2 years in a Team Lead or Managerial position.Possesses experience in process documentation, supported by strong accounting knowledge and solid analytical skills.Brings experience working with SAP S/4HANA and demonstrates strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective interpersonal abilities.Proven people management capability with excellent time management and attention to detail.Skilled in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, with a meticulous and efficient approach to handling high transaction volumes.Highly Advantageous to Have!Preferred qualifications include ACCA or Chartered Accountant certification, experience in process improvement initiatives, and familiarity with the Ivalua e‑invoicing platform.Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Ivalua, Data Analytics or Power BI.Join us on our mission to continue defining the future of financial services.
