Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Representative I in Heredia, Costa Rica. General Purpose of the Position: The "Accounts Payable Representative II" plays an important role in the "Procure to Pay" department, as it aims to ensure the processing of invoices for the realization of payments to the company's suppliers in the established time, taking into consideration the payment terms and corporate goals. Role Responsibilities: Ensure that the invoices for payments to suppliers are correctly entered into the established systems. Develop technical knowledge of the different systems used in the company, to facilitate the processing of information. Maintain involvement and communication by phone, email, chat or any other means with internal and external customers involved in the processes. Opportunities for Expanded Scope Identify opportunities for improvement of the processes related to their department, proposing solutions and best practices. Request the update of corporate suppliers' information in the respective systems when required by the team in charge of this process. Provide support and carry out any other request required by the company's needs. Analyze the information of the invoices to resolve discrepancies that may arise, identifying the root cause to avoid incorrect application of payments and/or escalations. Perform the analysis of invoices against the information of purchase orders, in order to determine if the invoices can be processed for the respective payment to suppliers. Basic Requirements: Professional Technician or university high school student in Accounting or Administration. Experience in Shared Service Centers. B1+ English Level. MS Office: Word, Power Point, Outlook - Excel basic. Competencies: Offers trust among internal and external customers. Adopts continuous improvement using the internal model to improve processes and solve problems. Works to meet business objectives.
