The problems we solve are complex, distributed, and high-scale, requiring strong system design skills, pragmatic decision-making, and a deep understanding of backend architecture.We work across industries such as Logistics, FinTech, Transportation, Insurance, Media, and other highly regulated or data-intensive environments.We’re looking for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, value clean architecture, and enjoy building resilient systems that scale.Requirements7+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java (technical assessment required)Strong experience with Clojure and/or Grails (Groovy)Deep understanding of the JVM ecosystemExperience building RESTful and/or event-driven systemsExperience working with Kafka or similar messaging/event streaming platformsExperience designing scalable, distributed systemsFamiliarity with functional programming principles (immutability, pure functions, concurrency models)Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databasesCloud experience (AWS preferred: ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)English fluency, verbal and writtenThis is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Latin America (LATAM). While location is flexible, candidates must be willing to maintain at least a 6-hour overlap with core business hours, which are primarily aligned with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with project teams.Application DeadlineThis role is an evergreen position with no predetermined start date.
