Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist$55-65k Fairburn, GA (100% on-site)Job ResponsibilitiesManage accounts payable processes using accounting software and related programs.Accurately code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests in accordance with company procedures to ensure proper financial entry.Communicate with vendors via phone and email to address inquiries or discrepancies.Research and resolve issues related to invoice processing and payments.Maintain organized filing systems for accounting documents, records, and reports.Build and sustain strong relationships with new and existing vendors.Process invoices in a timely manner to ensure on-time payments.Verify purchase orders, pricing, payment terms, and other related charges.Create and manage purchase order requisitions.Assign new job numbers following company workflow processes and procedures.Collaborate with the Controller on designated projects and assignments.Provide general support to the Accounting Department as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.Experience in construction or consumer services is preferred.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proactive problem solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
