Title: Cell Line Development Research AssociateLocation: Oceanside, CADuration: 12+ MonthsKey Responsibilities: • Participate in end-to-end Cell Line Development pipeline projects, including activities from vector design and construction to clonal cell lines ready for Master Cell Bank generation. • Support CLD activities including clone selection, technology development, media development, process optimization, and process characterization studies. • Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation. • Hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
• Contribute to written technical reports, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals. Education: • BS (or MS) with 5+ years experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering). Qualifications/Skills: • Experience with mammalian cell culture (CHO) and automation/high-throughput technologies for mammalian cell line generation and process optimization preferred. • Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Experience in statistics and data analysis (e. g. JMP, Spotfire).
