Acoustic Engineer – Aircraft Cabins

Job Description

Your Daily Tasks & ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Systems Engineering Team you design installations and modifications with focus on aircraft cabin noise reductionSupport the in-house acoustic laboratory with selection of equipment, development and implementation of standards and test proceduresEnsure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially within the Design Organization, with Production and Maintenance and with external partners and suppliersSupport the Team Leader Mechanical Design Engineering in administrative and organizational tasksEnsure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designedMain ActivitiesConduct in-house tests of materials and assembliesPreparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructionsSupport designs with acoustic analysis and calculationsPreparation of mechanical drawings (2D/3D-CAD)Support and perform noise measurement ground and flight testsResolve installation process and noise treatment issues; provide recommendation for enhancementsAll other duties assignedThe expertise you have & skills you bringEngineering Degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or relevant fieldProfound knowledge of the principles of sound and vibrationIdeally 3+ years of experience in an acoustic engineering roleProactive Teamplayer with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - additionally French and/or German is advantageousProficient in MS Office and popular 2D/3D design softwareMust show high initiative, be self-motivated, and have ability to act independently on technical matters, manage time effectivelyWhat we offer (among other things)Working in an owner-managed, young dynamic company with hands-on mentalityMultifaceted, challenging and responsible position within an exclusive environmentAttractive employment conditions and social benefits like 5 weeks of holidays (6 weeks as of 50 years)Free on-site English lessons and individual further training and development opportunitiesSubsidised meals in our canteen, as well as parking spaces (or free shuttle bus transport) and other employee discounts (Fleets, Bars & Restaurants etc.)In case of relocation: support with relocation / work permit Corporate events like our famous annual Christmas Party and the summer BBQ Additional informationGeneral working place: Hangar Facilities at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg
