Utilizing our proprietary TRINIT-E® Service Maturity Model, we help clients implement programs to promote innovation, automation and process improvement.Responsibilities/Qualifications:• Aggregate and stack loss runs from various file types: The candidate should be able to interpret and analyze large volumes of data from various file types (mostly Excel and PDF) to identify claims that pierced multiple layers of an insurance tower (i.e. a claim that exhausted the SIR limit and impacted at least one additional layer above the SIR). The candidate must be able to combine all losses for an event to produce ground-up gross indemnity & ALAE for each claim. Additionally, the candidate should be able to identify anomalies in the data and raise questions about the data.• Proficiency in Excel: Excel skills are essential since the candidate will be responsible for populating multiple sections of the rater. A basic understanding of Excel formulas will enable the candidate to aggregate losses efficiently.• Experience with insurance data: Familiarity with insurance industry terminology, such as gross vs. net loss, SIR vs deductible, indemnity and ALAE, paid vs reported, etc. is crucial. Familiarity with Medical Professional Liability is a plus.• Attention to detail / Problem-solving skills: Accuracy is crucial when dealing with data aggregation and entry. The candidate should be meticulous in checking for claims with the same (or similar) claimant, date of loss, and allegation.• Analyze actuarial funding studies: The candidate should be able to pull necessary information out of a funding study. Typically, expected loss for the prospective period, retention limit, and exposures would need to be extracted from the funding studies and entered into the rater.• Identifying limit structure: The candidate should be able to identify the limit structure for each product (Professional Liability, General Liability, Abuse & Molestation, etc.) and enter the limits within the rater. Additionally, the ALAE treatment must be identified.• Identify the risk characteristics: The candidate should be able to identify the healthcare segment and healthcare category from the submission.• Strong communication skills: The candidate should be able to explain any issues with the data that would prevent the underwriter or actuary from fully understanding the risk. Depending on the clarity of the data, it may be necessary to directly work with the actuary to determine the most appropriate way to capture the data to best capture the risk.
