A Well-Established Local Practice: Join a practice with deep roots in Southern California communities and a strong reputation for excellence in mental health careSupportive Environment: Benefit from collaborative peer support, ongoing mentorship, and guidance from our management teamHands-On Experience: Gain practical experience in medical billing, scheduling, and administrative operationsSkill Development: Receive training in communication, organization, and workflow management within a healthcare settingMeaningful Contribution: Play a key role in supporting clinicians and improving patient care through efficient administrative operationsTeam-Oriented Culture: Work in a collaborative environment with a friendly and supportive teamWhat You'll Do:Verifies patient insurance eligibility and benefit coverage;Review scheduled Intakes and Follow-Up appointments on Clinicians’ calendars, smart scheduling;Review completed packets for compliance for scheduled patients for completed documentation and consent prior to scheduled visits;Answers all inquiries and explains all the services offered;Log inquiries on Referral Tracker, including contact and insurance information;Contact patient or guarantor and advise of financial responsibilities including out-of-network insurance options;Manage and update patient general information and medical insurance changes in the patient platform;Coordinate and enter information for requests for patient records and other document requests;Manage pharmacy and insurance medication prior authorization and refills;Manage email and mail traffic, and distributes accordingly;Upload various documents;Manage multi-line phone system;Perform varied administrative and front desk duties for a medical officeExplain and promote our different mental health services and produce high-conversionDo customer service and salesOther related workWhat You'll Need:Education: BA/BS in Social Work, or a related fieldExperience: 6 months of related experience in the medical setting is preferredPsychiatric/Mental Health experience is a plusSpanish speaking preferredSales experience is requiredService orientation – pleasant, congenial, well-mannered, professionalExcellent written and verbal communicationComputer skills and proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel, Google Docs, and GmailGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical thinking and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrentlyAbility to make routine decisions and determine proper action based on experience within the limits of policy and proceduresKnowledgeable about health care practices, and provide exceptional customer serviceAbility to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, and economic backgroundsExcellent customer serviceCompassion and empathyHave customer service and sales experienceWhat We Offer: Supplemental AFLAC insurance401K with up to 3% matching to help secure your financial future. 40 hours of paid sick timeA collaborative, team-oriented work culture that fosters professional growth.
