We reward them with challenging work, opportunities to learn and grow, competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment where safety is our top priority.The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.FunctionsProvides administrative support to one or more managers with a focus on capital projects.Coordinate the processing of invoicing and other activities with vendors and suppliers.Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.Welcomes and directs visitors and contractors.Maintains filing systems as assigned.Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisors.Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings.Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings.Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.Ability to work independently.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.Three to five years of experience in an administrative role.Previous experience working with vendors and suppliers preferred.Peoplesoft knowledge preferred.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to fifteen pounds at times.Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyUnited States Sugar Corporation provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
