About UsWe are a locally owned and operated food manufacturing company producing high-quality specialty food products for customers across Canada. Our facility in Saanichton is growing, and we are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative & Bookkeeping Coordinator to support our office operations.Position SummaryThis role combines bookkeeping with general administrative support. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, organizing company paperwork and administrative systems, and providing day-to-day office support. This position starts at 16–24 hours per week, with additional hours available at times and room to grow into a full-time role as the company expands.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and expense tracking.Assist with payroll preparation and records.Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.Organize and maintain company paperwork, both digital and physical (contracts, compliance, HR, supplier documents, etc.).Develop and implement efficient filing and administrative systems for bookkeeping and other company records.Support general office tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and recordkeeping.Coordinate with external accountants, suppliers, and service providers as needed.Provide administrative support for compliance and food safety documentation.QualificationsExperience with bookkeeping and accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred).Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll basics.Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and maintain filing systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Attention to detail and high accuracy in recordkeeping.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Experience in administrative roles or office coordination is an asset.Familiarity with CFIA or food industry documentation is an asset but not required.What We OfferCompetitive wage based on experience.Flexible part-time schedule.Opportunity for additional hours during peak periods.Room for growth toward a full-time position.A stable, supportive work environment with a growing local business.SchedulePart-time: 24 hours per week to start.Additional hours available as needed.Potential for full-time growth as role expands.How to ApplyPlease send your resume and a brief cover letter to [your email/contact info].
