Position: Administrative SupportLocation: RemoteDuration: 6+ Month CTHJob DescriptionDuties: Performs various and multi-functional clerical and administrative tasks with an emphasis on excellence, privacy, quality, compliance and versatility. Provides general guidance and assistance to the customer via telephone, written communication and/or in person.claims or eligibility experience NeededPerform office operations including; filing, organizing, copying, scanning, answering phones, and distributing materials.Organize, file, compile and distribute correspondence and other documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed method.Consult and coordinate with others to generate, assemble, and update correspondence, departmental files, systems, manuals, logs, materials and or packets.Provide general guidance and assistance to internal and external customer inquiries via telephone, written communication and/or in person.Assist departmental staff, as assigned, with clerical and administrative tasks and projects.Meet quality, quantity and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals as defined within the department guidelines.Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of the required BCBSAZ systems, procedures, forms and manuals.The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.Perform all other duties as assigned.Required Job SkillsIntermediate skill in in use of office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanner and telephonesType > 35 words per minute with 5% error rate or lessBasic skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database softwareIntermediate PC proficiencySit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours per dayPerform light manual work, lifting up to 20 poundsRequired Professional CompetenciesMaintain confidentiality and privacyManage a large and diverse administrative workload under limited time constraintsPossess verbal and written communication skillsCapable of basic investigative and analytical researchNavigate, gather, input and maintain data records in multiple system applicationsFollow and accept instruction and direction in a rapidly changing, fast paced environmentEstablish and maintain working relationships in a collaborative team environmentPREFERRED COMPETENCIESKnowledge of medical, pharmaceutical, and other health services, practices, and terminologyKnowledge of a wide range of matters pertaining to the organization's services and operationsEducation: Required Work Experience1 year(s) of experience in an office or clerical fieldRequired EducationHigh-School Diploma or GED in general field of studyPreferred Work Experience1 year(s) of experience in health insurance, medical office, or other health related field1 year(s) of experience in a sales or marketing fieldPreferred EducationAssociate's Degree in general field of studyJob Type: ContractWork Location: Remote claims or eligibility experience
