As a broader part of the Office of Strategic Engagement, SRM leads strategic initiatives to attract a diverse and talented student body, while also managing critical marketing efforts that support the university’s brand and enrollment goals. Reporting to the Manager, Admissions Operations, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the work of the Admissions Clerk team within the Office of Student Recruitment and Marketing ( SRM ). The team contributes to the daily operations of key functional areas of Undergraduate Admissions through the accurate and efficient processing and administration of admission files, documents, clean up reports and applicant inquiries and support. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of team processes and services, resulting in a positive experience for prospective students and their supporters, faculty, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect, delegate and manage all staff and the daily workflow of the Admissions Clerk team.Manages the high-volume and time-sensitive email and other communications received by Admissions (a primary point of contact for the university for prospective students and supporters, faculty, and staff) through the appropriate resource allocation and prioritization.Oversee the scheduling and coordination of the complex, high-volume, deadline-driven admission and inquiry processing required to support the functions of the Admissions Clerk team.Process and upload all application and student record supporting documents including language test scores and Visiting Letter of Permission forms, entering university institution information into Slate (student information system) where necessary.Ensure the accuracy of information and records through quality analysis reporting and monitoring utilizing analytics and digital dashboards.Responsible for the effective management of administrative activities assigned by the Manager, Admissions Operations.NoteThe successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.Required QualificationsUndergraduate degree, plus a minimum of three to five years’ related experience in a post-secondary environment (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).Knowledge of enrolment management practices and student information systems.Experience with supporting applications such as Microsoft Office programs.AssetsExperience in customer service and staff supervision.Experience in academic records and information management.Experience with Slate (student information system).Experience in project management.Job CompetenciesThe successful candidate is expected to demonstrate proficiency in Dalhousie’s core and leadership competencies, in particular:Self-Awareness & ProfessionalismRespect & InclusionCommunicationServiceAdaptabilityAdditional InformationApplication ConsiderationApplications from current university employees and external candidates are assessed concurrently.
