The Canadian Association of Security Professionals, CAšŸSP, is a newly formed association focused on professionalizing the security industry through training and advocacy. Visit www.CASP.ca for more information.Private investigation is a specialized area of the security industry, where private investigators require specialized knowledge and skills to function safely and effectively. CAšŸSP has identified numerous areas of private investigation, and is looking for subject matter experts to develop courses in these areas.Introduction to Private Investigation (2 hr)SurveillanceInterviewingOHS InvestigationsMissing Persons InvestigationsCustody InvestigationsInsurance InvestigationsFraud InvestigationsOpen-source InvestigationsWorkplace InvestigationsPolicy and Procedure InvestigationsCovert OperationsThese are introductory courses, and should give learners foundational understanding and practical knowledge and skill of that area of private investigation. Unless stated, the courses should be 4 to 8 hours each.ResponsibilitiesYou are the content expert.Ā You will work with one of CAšŸSP's educational experts to develop an engaging and interactive online course. Your primary responsibilities are the creation of a course outline, script, PowerPoint slides, instructional activities, and assessment questions. (CAšŸSP will guide you through this process.) CAšŸSP will create the interactive online course, with you as the course instructor.QualificationsYou must have significant field experience in private investigation, with specific experience in one or more of the above-named security areas. Instructional experience is an asset.PaymentThere is no upfront payment. You will receive 40 % of the course's gross sales as royalties for as long as the course is taught.
