Job Description SummaryAdvanced Lead Preliminary Mechanical Design Engineer leads mechanical development for early engine designs within the Preliminary Design organization. This role incorporates creation of technical analysis necessary to build preliminary engine feasibility, cross-sections, weight, and mechanical trade studies. The Advanced Lead Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives to develop innovative preliminary design concepts, simultaneously meeting aggressive cost and performance/weight targets for key next generation engine applications from TG0 to TG3. Join us and find an opportunity to shape the future of flight.Role OverviewWork with global engineering teams to understand advanced technologies and their implications on next generation products.Conduct design studies of appropriate fidelity and project analysis with minimal guidance, meeting business standards and requirements.Create plans to meet technical needs, solve problems, and report status to leadership. Ensure utilization of business and organization best practices and design practices.
