Role Overview:We are seeking an Advanced Materials & Processes Specialist with hands-on expertise in metals, composites, and high-performance manufacturing processes. You will lead the development, optimization, and implementation of advanced material solutions across aerospace, automotive, or high-performance engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead materials selection, testing, and process development (casting, forging, additive manufacturing, welding, surface treatments).Conduct materials characterization and nondestructive testing (NDT) for metals and composites.Provide technical guidance to teams and suppliers on defect mitigation and process optimization.Drive project management from design through implementation, including reporting and budget oversight.Establish and maintain laboratory infrastructure, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.Required Skills & Experience:Strong background in manufacturing materials industries (metals, composites, adhesives, fasteners, aluminum, steel, copper).Expertise in additive manufacturing (L-PBF, DED, HIP, SPS) and advanced process development.Proficiency in materials testing, residual stress analysis, and characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, EBSD).Skilled in CAD, MATLAB/Python, and materials/process simulation software.Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams.Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s in Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering (PhD advantageous).
