We want working for us… to work for you!!Starting salary: $76,494 - $89,993 + superannuationOther Benefits Of Joining Stats NZ IncludeFlu Vaccines, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and corporate rates for a variety of services and productsDevelop and grow your career (coaching, training, study support, secondments)Contribute to meaningful work that makes a difference to all people in Aotearoa3 extra annual leave days (taken during Christmas office closure)City based offices that cater to a variety of working styles and needsThe role | Te tūngaThis role is fixed term until November 2026 based in Auckland Reporting to the Manager - Experience & Development providing key advice and handling of quality assurance, survey respondent feedback and query management within Collection Operations.This Role Would Suit Someone Who Can BringExceptional written communication and letter writing skills.A strong understanding of quality performance within collection activities, with the ability to apply quality tools to improve outcomes.The ability to interpret performance and experience insights to inform service improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Experience contributing to the design and documentation of QA processes that support consistency and clarity.A collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders such as OCE, Legal/Privacy, and People & Culture to ensure alignment and shared outcomes.Familiarity with QA systems, frameworks, and tools, and a solid understanding of how to apply them effectively.Strong relationship-building skills to support culture change and stakeholder engagement.A demonstrated willingness to upskill and grow your cultural capability.An understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures.This role involves crafting personalised letters to complainants, so strong written communication skills are essential.
