About The RoleReporting to the Operations Manager for the Southern Alberta Aggregate Division, the Aggregates Operations Analyst would provide operational, sales and technical resource support for the Southern Alberta Aggregates Team. This is a developmental role and an opportunity to gain widespread expertise within the Aggregates business with the ultimate goal of building a long-term career with Amrize.This opportunity is part of Amrize’s New Graduate Development Path (NGDP). As part of the NGDP two-year journey, new graduates are provided with opportunities to connect with other new grads, gain exposure to various aspects of the Amrize business, and embark on their own learning and development journey through e-learning and scheduled monthly Learning & Development sessions. The NGDP provides a head start for recently graduated individuals entering the workforce while fostering a strong sense of community within Amrize.What You’ll AccomplishProvide technical support for all areas of the business including operations, sales and estimating, quality control, and project managementAssist area management in planning, coordinating and supervising production activitiesEnsure accurate inventory control and production reporting by validating physical inventories and maintaining up-to-date data entry in SAPWork closely with managers and foremen on pit and plant optimizationParticipate and support foremen regarding safety and production tracking and targetsParticipate in monthly meetings outlining improvement opportunitiesCoordinate with sales, project managers, quality control personnel, and plant production on project details, scheduling, and problem resolutionAssisting to develop strategies and objectives for sales, pricing and profitabilityConduct plant, site, and structural inspections to ensure quality standards are met and to proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.What We’re Looking ForEducation: University Degree / Technical DiplomaField of Study Preferred: Engineering or BusinessRequired Work Experience: Up to 2 years experience in providing operational supportRequired Technical Skills: MS Office, Google SuiteAdditional RequirementsStrong computer technical aptitude to learn new systems and programsAbility to make rational decisions and resolve conflictA team leader with excellent negotiation, communication and people skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter / Problem solver / Self-disciplinedGood presentation and interpersonal skillsConfidence to work independently, safely, and travel to remote gravel pitsOn-site construction experience would be considered an assetKnowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) would be considered an assetSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
