AI Architect

Job Title: Sr. Principal AI Architect (Hands-on AI/ML & MLOps) Location: Riyadh, KSA Employment Type: [Contract] Job Description We are seeking a Principal AI Architect with strong hands-on capabilities in AI/ML engineering, MLOps, and AI product delivery. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in NLP, Computer Vision, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Agentic AI, Data Science, and multimodal architectures, combined with proven experience deploying enterprise-grade AI products. This role requires end-to-end ownership — from architecture and R&D to implementation, optimization, and scalable deployment — using Python and Java in production environments. Key Responsibilities AI Architecture & Product Delivery Design and lead the development of end-to-end AI products with real-world enterprise adoption. Architect solutions across NLP, Computer Vision, RAG, Agentic AI, and multimodal systems. Translate complex business requirements into scalable AI frameworks and productized solutions. Hands-on Development (Python & Java) Build, fine-tune, and deploy AI models using Python and Java for integration, platform engineering, and inferencing. Implement AI features, APIs, and backend services using both languages. RAG & Agentic AI Innovation Architect and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using vector databases, knowledge graphs, and LLM orchestration. Design and lead Agentic AI workflows with autonomous capabilities and multi-agent orchestration. MLOps & Deployment Establish and manage AI pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and scalable deployments across cloud/on-prem environments. Integrate AI models into enterprise platforms (APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud ecosystems). Data Science & Model Engineering Lead efforts in data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and optimization. Work across structured, unstructured, and multimodal data for production-grade solutions. Research & Innovation Drive R&D initiatives, proofs of innovation, and architecture evolution. Evaluate and implement emerging tools such as PyTorch, vLLM, MosaicML, LangChain, and LlamaIndex. Cross-functional Leadership Collaborate with product, data, engineering, and infrastructure teams to deliver AI products at scale. Mentor AI/ML engineers and guide teams on architecture, best practices, and deployment strategies. Required Skills & Experience Core AI/ML Expertise 10+ years in AI/ML engineering, architecture, or applied research. Hands-on experience in: NLP Computer Vision RAG / GraphRAG / Knowledge Graphs Agentic AI Data Science & Model Development Programming Expert-level proficiency in Python (data science, ML frameworks, orchestration). Strong development and integration experience in Java. MLOps & Deployment Proficiency with: Model deployment (cloud / on-prem / hybrid) CI/CD for AI systems Containers and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) Vector DBs, model registries, and inference frameworks AI Product Delivery Proven track record in real-world delivery of AI products, not just PoCs or prototypes. Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms (e.g., Azure, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Databricks). Cloud & Infrastructure Strong experience with one or more: Azure, GCP, AWS GPU-accelerated computing and model optimization experience Communication & Leadership Ability to lead solution design sessions, advise stakeholders, and mentor technical teams.
