We’re Hiring: AI & Automation Unit Manager – Ello TechnologyEllo Technology is a fast-growing managed IT services and automation company, driven by innovation, accountability, and exceptional client service. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated S3 Unit Manager to lead our Automation & AI Business Unit, ensuring excellence in project delivery, team leadership, and technical execution.About the RoleAs the Unit Manager, you’ll take ownership of Ello’s Automation & AI division — driving strategic projects, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. You’ll collaborate closely with other Business Units and leadership to align technical innovation with business outcomes.This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to shape the future of how Ello integrates automation and AI into our clients’ operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the S3 Automation & AI Business Unit, ensuring optimal performance, productivity, and accountability.Plan, implement, and oversee automation and AI projects across client environments.Manage a cross-functional technical team — assigning priorities, monitoring KPIs, and guiding daily operations.Ensure tickets, tasks, and projects are executed on time and within scope through Zoho Desk, Zoho Projects, and related platforms.Conduct weekly BU huddles, reporting on performance metrics, milestones, and client deliverables.Collaborate with the CEO, HR, and other BU Managers to ensure full alignment with company objectives and resource planning.Drive innovation through ongoing process improvement, training, and technology adoption.Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring consistent communication, follow-through, and proactive issue resolution.Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and service standards at all times.What You’ll BringProven leadership experience in technical, IT operations, or automation management roles.Strong understanding of AI, automation workflows, and business process optimisation.Solid knowledge of Zoho One ecosystem (Desk, Projects, People, CRM, Books) will be an advantage.Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.Ability to lead with empathy and accountability — driving performance while maintaining team morale.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT or technical project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Management preferred.Why Join ElloBe part of a fast-scaling tech company at the forefront of AI and automation in South Africa.Work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values innovation, autonomy, and results.Opportunities for career growth, professional development, and leadership progression.Hybrid working model with modern offices and supportive team culture.How to ApplyIf you’re ready to lead, innovate, and drive measurable impact, we’d love to meet you.
