AI & Data Platform Engineer

We're looking for a talented AI & Data Engineer to help architect and build the next generation of our data and AI infrastructure.The RoleWe're seeking an experienced AI & Data Engineer to join our team of 5 developers and work directly with our CTO. You'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing our Azure-based data platform while building cutting-edge AI agents that will transform how restaurants interact with their data.You won’t be maintaining legacy pipelines — you’ll be helping design a greenfield AI-driven data architecture that powers predictive insights, automation, and real-time decision-making for restaurants worldwide.This is a unique opportunity to architect solutions from the ground up, combining modern data engineering practices with the latest AI capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture: Help design and architect scalable, efficient data and AI solutions on AzureAI Agent Development: Build autonomous AI agents that don’t just analyze data — they take action through our MCP server to automate operational workflows across the platform (inventory, pricing, labor, marketing, etc.)Data Engineering: Design and implement ETL pipelines to transform and load data into our data warehouseData Integration: Extract and integrate data from various third-party systems (APIs, CSV exports, etc.) into Azure Data LakeMaintenance & Optimization: Continuously monitor, maintain, and improve all data and AI processesDocumentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and workflowsRequirementsAI Expertise: At least 1 year of hands-on experience building and deploying AI agentsExperience: 3+ years in data engineering or backend development rolesEducation: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)Technical Skills:Strong experience with Azure cloud services (Data Lake, data warehousing solutions)Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline developmentExperience with AI frameworks and agent development (Azure OpenAI Foundry experience is a plus)Strong programming skills (C#, Python, SQL, etc.)API integration and data extraction expertiseSoft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesStrong documentation and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate with a small, dynamic teamEager to learn and adapt to new technologiesWhat We OfferCompetitive Salary: Market-leading compensation packagePerformance Bonuses: Rewarding your contributions and achievementsFlexible Work: Hybrid working model (remote + office in Athens, Greece)Professional Growth: Training and development opportunities to expand your skillsImpact: Direct influence on architectural decisions and product directionInnovation: Work with cutting-edge AI and data technologiesGrowth Journey: Be part of our exciting expansion into the US marketCollaborative Culture: Work directly with our CTO and a talented team of developersLocationAthens, Greece (Hybrid - Remote/Office)How to ApplyIf you're passionate about data engineering and AI, and excited about shaping the future of restaurant technology, we'd love to hear from you!
