AI & Innovation Project ManagerLocation: Los AngelesPosition SummaryThe AI & Innovation Project Manager plays a key role in advancing the firm’s use of artificial intelligence across legal and operational functions. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position helps integrate AI into the firm’s service delivery model and daily operations.This role collaborates with the Executive Director, Firm Managing Partner, Practice Group Leaders, Department Heads, Managers, and IT to identify AI opportunities, lead training and rollout efforts, and support successful implementation. The Project Manager also serves as a strategic partner to the firm’s AI Committee, contributing to planning, coordination, and cross-departmental engagement.The ideal candidate brings legal-industry experience, practical knowledge of AI technologies, and strong communication and change-management skills to help professionals confidently adopt new tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage an AI implementation roadmap in partnership with firm leadershipIdentify, assess, and pilot AI solutions that enhance legal services, internal workflows, and operational efficiencyCommunicate effectively across all levels of the firm to build understanding and adoption of AI tools and strategiesCreate and deliver internal training on AI usage, including prompt engineering and risk-mitigation practicesProvide hands-on support to departments integrating AI into daily workServe as a core contributor to the firm’s AI Committee and support related innovation initiativesTrack industry trends and brief leadership on developments, risks, and opportunitiesAssist with firmwide innovation projects and special initiatives as assigned by the Executive DirectorPreferred QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in legal innovation, operations, knowledge management, or legal technology within a law firmDirect experience evaluating or implementing legal tech or AI platformsStrong project leadership and change-management skills, with proven success training and coordinating diverse stakeholdersFamiliarity with legal practice workflows and internal support functionsDemonstrated success introducing new technologies in professional environmentsKnowledge of platforms such as Lexis+AI, ChatGPT, Harvey, Casetext, or similar toolsProject management or process-improvement certification preferred but not requiredJuris Doctor or experience working closely with attorneys preferred but not required
