Scalable, trustworthy, and future-ready.Your Role – meaningful & rewardingContinuously monitoring global AI research and market trends, with a focus on analyzing academic papers, industry reports, and technological breakthroughs that hold strategic relevance for E.ONCollaborating closely with cross-functional teams across E.ON, engaging with various business functions to capture emerging trends from within the organization and linking them to external AI research developmentsSeparating hype from genuine innovation to ensure that only developments with tangible business implications reach senior managementTranslating complex AI concepts into clear business impact by explaining what each trend means for E.ON, its markets, and its customersAssessing risks, opportunities, and required actions, and recommending whether E.ON should adopt, invest, prepare organizationally, or adapt its overall strategyContributing to thought leadership and decision-making through internal position papers, briefings, and recommendations that turn external innovation into concrete steps for E.ON’s transformationCooperating with internal and external partners while building strong connections with leading experts, research communities, and institutions through conferences, partnerships, and networksYour Profile – authentic & open-mindedStrong academic background (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related fieldDeep expertise in AI concepts, algorithms, and architectures, combined with the ability to critically assess their maturity, limitations, and potential business impactProven experience in reviewing and synthesizing scientific literature—ideally in AI or machine learning—and identifying which findings matter for real-world applicationsExceptional skill in translating complex technical developments into business-relevant insights and strategic recommendations, making cutting-edge AI accessible and actionable for decision-makersProactive, analytical, and curious mindset, thriving in environments where innovation is explored and ideas are transformed into tangible business outcomesExcellent communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messages to both technical and business audiences; German language proficiency considered a plusOur Benefits – smart & usefulEnjoy hybrid work: We combine office collaboration with focused work from home.
