Job Description

Your role As an Air Intelligence Officer in the Air Force, you’ll be responsible for acquiring and interpreting intelligence and preparing briefs in support of ADF operations and international security initiatives. You’ll play an important role in operational mission planning, as well as leading and managing intelligence teams in a variety of environments. Your duties may include: leading intelligence teams across various specialist fields, including surveillance and reconnaissance, electronic warfare and signals intelligence, target intelligence, space intelligence, counterintelligence, cyber intelligence, and tactical level mission intelligence delivering operational level air intelligence in support of Air Force and ADF activities and operations analysing large volumes of information producing intelligence assessments on foreign military aircraft, radars, weapon systems, tactics and intentions developing strategic level assessments to inform Air Force decision-making managing intelligence collection managing and developing intelligence policies and procedures. As an Air Force Officer, you’ll also be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor, equipped with highly sought-after management skills. Location Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh. Eligibility For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passes in Year 12 English and three other approved subjects.
