Minimum RequirementsCombination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.Education: Bachelor’s DegreeEducation Details: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in engineering, engineering sciences, aeronautics or related disciplineCertification: YesCertification Details: Airframe & Powerplant certification, Pilot License or FCC License preferredYears of Experience: Minimum one (1) year airline related experience in aircraft interiors engineering.Visa Sponsorship Available: NoValid/Unexpired Passport Book: NoValid/Unexpired Driver's License: NoPreferred RequirementsKnowledge of aircraft interior designUnderstand and ability to use LOPA and other engineering drawingsWorking knowledge of Aircraft and Component Maintenance ManualsProficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, and ExcelStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi taskGood communication skillsJob DutiesCreate and modify LOPA drawingsCreate and modify Engineering Orders as required to comply with regulatory requirements and company needsReview Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and other source documents to determine applicability and provide accomplishment recommendationsDevelop solutions to in-service aircraft interior issues which may impact the flight scheduleCoordinate engineering activities as needed with other internal Allegiant departments such as:##Materials/Purchasing##Maintenance Planning##Maintenance Control##Heavy Maintenance##FinanceRespond dynamically to the request from maintenance or any other airline department to resolve technical issuesServe as a Technical Expert for Interior itemsCoordinates with the FAA, OEM, or other airline departments to assist with implementation of engineering documentsAssist with CASP analysis and development of reliability initiativesOther duties as assigned by the ManagerKnowledge of FAR regulations related to interiors, and other government requirements for passenger safety and accommodationInterior configuration and arrangementInstallation and modification of cabin/flight compartment furnishingsSeats, lavatories and GalleysCeilings, overhead stowage units, passenger service unitsSidewall lining, insulation and panelsFlooring covering, raceways and escape path lightingDoors and slidesEmergency equipmentCargo systemsOther duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsThe Physical Demands and Work Environment described here are a representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
