Vire Health Oy is a Finnish health-tech company that helps people time their activity, recovery and sleep for better health. The Vire Clip sits discreetly at the waist – near the body’s core – and, together with the Vire app, turns signals from core temperature, breathing, and movement into clear timing guidance. Vire was founded in 2021 as a spin-off from Lappeenranta University research and is headquartered in Finland. Vire is going to market in 2026 and is currently raising its Seed round.We're seeking an Algorithm & Analytics Developer who enjoys turning complex and messy biosignal measurements into practical, user-facing features. This is a meaningful role at a pivotal moment for our product. In 2026, we're bringing the Gen1 Vire Clip and app to market, and your work will play a key part in making that happen.How you’ll contributeYou'll take responsibility in transforming biosignal measurements into human-readable information and everyday insights. You will be working with data from low-level signal processing techniques to cloud-native pipelines, with an emphasis on cloud-based analytics and computing. Your work will involve experimentation and problem solving, ranging from raw data collection and processing to setting up machine learning pipelines.You can deal with sparse time series data, incomplete or faulty measurements, and limited information about the real-life conditions in which the device is being used. Acquiring training data is often labor-intensive and involves setting up experimental protocols, so you can get creative and use classical signal processing tools, common sense, or leverage open datasets. You're willing to learn new skills and techniques, while maintaining a pragmatic, user-centric approach under a schedule.What you’ll bringAround 3-8 years of experience in applied data analysis and machine learningStrong Python skillsStrong fundamentals in machine learning and related data processing techniquesUnderstanding about basic physics, statistics and linear algebraFamiliarity with software development, databases and versioningCross-domain knowledge from some other, related field is appreciated, but not strictly necessary. Such fields may include, for example:Biosignal analysisHuman physiology and anatomy(Applied) physicsElectrical engineeringControl theory, dynamical systemsDigital signal processing, filtersStatisticsLaboratory work and setting up experimentsIn addition to your technical skills, you bring a pragmatic mindset with a clear bias toward building and delivering. You're resilient and resourceful, able to simplify complexity and move work forward.
