As part of the Equity Department the team is part of the business division and has direct interactions with clients.RoleAn opportunity exists for a technically oriented individual to join the Electronic Trading team in Hong Kong or Singapore. A strong experience in C++ development and application support is required. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and supporting highly available systems that can process large quantities of data with very low latency. The successful candidate would be able to perform well under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills are also required to interact with clients as well as internal traders.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities are: Develop, maintain and support execution strategies Implement strategy enhancements and customizations Own specific projects or issues from start to finish Work closely with the global development team Knowledge of European markets and regulations Identify and fix trading issues, investigate and respond to traders and clients queries Perform regression testing, configuration changes and in some cases release new versions to production. Person SpecificationThe following skills and experience are required for this role: Advanced knowledge of C++, including templates. (Mandatory) Multithreading, low-level primitives, atomic variables, mutex, condition variable, understanding of pthreads even if using C++ libraries like Boost. STL (Standard Template Library). (Mandatory) Boost, including event handling. (Mandatory) TCP and Multicast communications. Understand debugging with gdb and similar tool. Unix low-level. Perl and shell scripting. SQL Ability to work with colleagues around the world Quick to learn and curious about all things. Understand performance verification and optimization tools.
