RoleRole purposeAlpha exists to equip and serve the Church in its mission to help people to discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. The purpose of this role is to be a key point of contact for churches running Alpha in a designated region in the UK. The role will involve networking, building relationships and working closely with church leaders and alpha leaders. The role will be tasked with ambitious goals to see the impact of Alpha increased in the UK. Key deliverablesListed below are the key elements that the role holder will be accountable for delivering:
Ensure churches running or considering running Alpha in the region are well supported, equipped, and encouraged. Participate and contribute to the UK wide church facing team (led by Associate National Director) Deliver training in the region to churches across the church engagement framework. Communicating and forging relationships with Senior Church leaders across contexts and denominations in the region Activation: tasked to see an increase in new churches running Alpha in region Reactivation: tasked to reactivate lapsed churches who are no longer running Alpha in region  Retention:
tasked to see a high level of retention of churches running Alpha, from previous year to current year, in region  Represent Alpha UK in the region at key networking opportunities, events and speaking engagements. Line management of Relationship Manager/s in region. Identify potential Hub churches in the region and work with other members of the Church Engagement Framework team to move these churches towards becoming Hubs. Be fluent in using Salesforce to track, monitor and identify trends from the data in the region.
Responsible for accurate input and reporting of data in region and continued use of UK systems, ensuring regional specific reporting is clean and consistent. Understand and promote Alpha in other contexts in region including Youth, Students, Prisons, Catholic and Chinese contexts as well as The Marriage Course. Hold responsibility for the relationship between Alpha and key denominations and networks in the region, nurturing existing relationships and seeking opportunities to establish new ones. Be present at key denominational/ partner events in your region, representing Alpha UK.
This role may be required to represent Alpha UK at a global level in various working groups, collectives or contexts. Essential skills, experience & knowledgeThe following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role: A committed Christian who is passionate about Alpha across the UK Experience in running Alpha in a church context.    Experience training large groups of people Line management experience.   Excellent people skills: networking and relationship building. Highly proficient at public speaking  Forward thinker: ability to set priorities and work in a highly organised manner.
   Dynamic and energetic with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.   A self-starter with a flexible and proactive approach to problems  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and an understanding of social media          Confident use of CRM systems e. g. , Salesforce. Ability to master data input, data clean ups and reporting. Up to date knowledge of Alpha products. Desirable skills, experience & knowledgeThe following skills and experience would be greatly beneficial:
Experience of church leadership  Understanding of the HTB network and/or attendance at an HTB Network church Experience running Alpha in contexts other than the church.   Understanding of the general breadth of the church landscape in the UK.
