Our client is a specialist advisory firm operating in the energy and natural resources sector. The firm advises corporates, investors, and industry participants on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, commercial strategy, and project development, with a strong focus on oil & gas and adjacent energy markets.They are seeking an Analyst to join their team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with senior professionals and gain broad exposure to transactions and strategic projects across the global energy industry.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will support senior advisers across both execution and business development activities. Responsibilities include:Building detailed financial and valuation models for M&A and strategic projectsConducting market, company, and asset research, and preparing concise commercial analysisProducing client presentations, pitchbooks, and supporting materialsAssisting in business development, including opportunity identification and client outreachCoordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout project deliveryCandidate ProfileOur client is seeking an analytically strong, commercially minded individual with 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained in one or more of the following areas:Business development or commercial roles within oil & gas companies (preferred)Consulting (Big 4 or strategy firms) with exposure to energy or commoditiesCommodity trading houses or trading desksFinancial institutions with a focus on energy, commodities, or natural resourcesKey skills and attributes:Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommercial curiosity and attention to detailProactive approach and ability to thrive in a small, entrepreneurial team
