This role will support research for ABC Entertainment programs across both linear and streaming platforms, contributing to a holistic understanding of audience behavior and content performance.ResponsibilitiesProduce and distribute core reports using first- and second-party data Assist in the design, build, and automation of new reports and dashboards Conduct exploratory analysis across data sets to illuminate content viewing trends Provide a deep and ongoing understanding of content performance and audience preferences across linear and streaming Basic Qualifications2+ years of experience in media research, data & analytics, or related field including paid internships. Experience conducting SQL queries required. Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and deep knowledge/experience in data exploration and data science Ability to capture and translate data and insights via visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Alteryx) Experience working in “big data” environments (like Snowflake); Proficiency of SQL and an understanding of complex, large-scale relational databases, statistical programs and other tools (SAS, Python, R, etc.) Experience with Nielsen (NNTV and NPower) and other content and audience measurement services and tools (WRAP and Lake5) Expertise in data exploration and or data science Strong interest in the content business; a consumer of shows across linear, streaming and social platforms. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of Burbank, CA, as this position requires onsite presence four days per week. Demonstrates excellent organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a capacity for analyzing data and identifying trends. Required EducationBA/BS Degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent/related degree is preferredThe hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $72,000 to $96,500 per year based on a 40- hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
