We're looking to make the world a healthier place through an uncompromising commitment to the well-being of our consumers, communities, and employees.Job DescriptionThe Sr. Project Engineer will perform complex, specialized project management and engineering functions, and help manage the company’s commercial construction activities and capital improvement projects. More specifically, they will perform the following professional duties:Review construction documents, analyze and interpret engineering plans, specialized contract terms, and schedules; identify potential issues related to constructability, maintainability, and long-term operations, and communicate findings. Collaborate across disciplines—including design, construction, and facilities teams—using principles of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) to support early alignment on project objectives, timelines, and lifecycle performance goals. Advise on appropriate construction methods that support both efficient project execution and long-term facility use, incorporating Facilities Management Integration (FMI) principles. Assist in the review and management of specialized construction records and related contract documents; engage in construction assessments and studies, and help prepare plans and documentation for bid processes, RFI, Submittal and Change Order logs and replies, ensuring documentation reflects both immediate project needs and long-term facility requirements. Manage and coordinate construction projects and facilities management tasks, direct and supervise construction professionals, manage schedule changes, implement new or modified plans, assist with invoice processing, and support project closeout processes—all consistent with IPD strategies and applicable project parameters. Review and maintain updated budgets and estimates, and keep the team informed with updated information on cost, revenue, and cash flow for multiple projects, with consideration of total cost of ownership. Perform regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with plans, and identify and report deficiencies, deviations from plans, safety codes, and applicable regulations. Provide regular progress reports—including photos and documentation of rough MEP at designated intervals—and advise regarding engineering and construction-related issues as they arise, with a focus on supporting effective facility operation beyond project completion. Up to 30% domestic travel--within California--required.
