Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial construction projects in Los Angeles, CA, including grocery stores, fitness centers, and big box retail facilities (Walmart, Target). The ideal candidate will take full ownership of project delivery, overseeing all phases from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction planning to closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls, adjusting as needed to meet objectives.Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams for seamless project execution.Lead project teams on-site and in the office, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and timely delivery.Review and manage construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.Conduct regular site inspections to verify work meets design intent, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.Prepare detailed project reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Promote a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.Mentor and guide junior project staff, fostering professional growth and high-performing teams.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in commercial construction.Experience managing grocery stores, fitness centers, or big box retail projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Commitment to delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
