These buses, which contribute to the city's traffic with empty seats, could also be the solution to its problem. Volt Lines is the only shuttle service provider that has both software as well as a transport service. This allows for optimal harmonization of the software and operation resulting in the creation of great experiences and services. Notable examples of these innovative services include DRT and Marketplace. DRT (short for Demand-Responsive Transport) was covered by a Harvard Business School case study that is being taught at the MBA school. Marketplace on the other hand allows companies to sell empty seats on their buses to neighboring passengers who are going in the same direction at the same time.Let's work together to shape the future of mobility.We're looking for an Android Developer to join us in shaping the future of urban transportation using the latest technologies.Responsibilities:Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality mobile apps for Android with KotlinManage the end-to-end release cycle, including Google Play publishing processesMonitor app metrics (crash reports, performance, user engagement, store ratings) and take proactive actions for improvementsConduct code reviews and tech reviews to ensure best practicesCollaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver new featuresTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance and user experienceWork with external APIs and data sources while ensuring reliability and securityStay up to date with mobile development trends and introduce new tools/technologies to improve efficiencyRequirementsA minimum of Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 2 years of proven experience with Kotlin, JavaStrong knowledge of Android Studio, Gradle. Experience with Git for version controlUnderstanding of MVP and MVVM architectural conceptsExperience in building applications that interact with notifications, state management, and REST APIsSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, including code signing and submitting to the stores.
