Job Description

OBJECTIVES AND GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: SUMMARY OF JOB: The Management Accountant plays a critical role in delivering accurate and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, the Management Accountant will provide dedicated support to the Construction Sector Finance Manager, focusing on the analysis of actual manufacturing costs and the preparation of periodic financial reports.

Key responsibilities include comparing budgeted costs to actual production and general expenses, conducting gross profit margin analysis, and delivering actionable insights. The role also involves close collaboration with the management team to inform and support business strategy development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.       Assist in the preparation of standard costing exercises and standard cost activations for D365 to contribute to the accurate and efficient implementation of standard costing practices within the organization's D365 system, ensuring cost transparency and informed financial decision-making. 2.       Prepare periodic variance reports between actual costs and standard costs, enabling the organization to take corrective actions and improve cost efficiency. 3.

      Measure and analyze various costs of production and costs of distribution of company products to provide valuable insights into production and distribution costs, supporting data-driven decisions to optimize cost-effectiveness and enhance the company's profitability. 4.       Perform quarterly inventory revaluations based on the latest landed costings to ensure accurate and up-to-date valuation of inventory, reflecting the most current landed cost data, which aids in maintaining precise financial records and inventory management for the organization. 5.

      Review monthly reconciliations for import clearing and production work-in-progress to maintain financial accuracy and transparency, ensuring that financial records are aligned with actual transactions and supporting effective decision-making. 6.       Prepare journal entries and analyze inventory revaluation, inventory roll forward, and PPVs (Purchase Price Variances) to ensure accurate financial records and cost analysis. 7.

      Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, inclusive of overhead and general expense reports, Balance Score Card, Business Unit Slides, Leadership pack slides, Stable Pack, and Quarterly Audit Packs to support the generation of comprehensive and well-structured monthly management reports, aiding in informed decision-making, performance assessment, and ensuring transparency and accountability within the organization. 8.

      Assist with the preparation of monthly financial forecasts, including the preparation of LE (Latest Estimate), Flash reports, annual budget templates, and Corporate Plan End Result to contribute to the development of accurate and insightful financial forecasts, enabling the organization to effectively plan, allocate resources, and achieve its financial goals. 9.       Preparation of audit schedules for relevant financial and operational data to facilitate smooth and organized audit processes by preparing detailed and well-structured audit schedules. 10.    Work on special projects such as varied projects as assigned or required to contribute to the successful completion of value-added projects and initiatives. 11.

   Participate in Training and Development activities as required or specified to enhance personal and professional skills and contribute to overall organizational development and effectiveness. 12.    Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions13.    Conduct Bill of Materials (BOM) costing simulations to assess the financial impact of changes in raw material costs on finished goods. Analyze the resulting effects on gross profit margins to support real-time pricing strategies and risk assessments. 14.    Perform any other related duties as required by the Construction Sector Finance Manager. Qualifications:         Degree in Accounting/Business Management/FinanceACCA QualificationExperience:

3 years’ Experience in Manufacturing/Construction Sector3-5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field
