(1-hour lunch) – On-site onlySalary: $16. 00 per hour + benefits packagePosition Summary: The Accounting & Billing Assistant will support billing operations related to professional services. The role involves processing invoices, managing special billing instructions, submitting electronic billing, and maintaining accurate records and databases. Key Responsibilities: • Process billing through electronic, manual, or standard systems• Follow and apply special client billing instructions (e. g.
, split or combine time entries)• Review final invoices for accuracy and compliance with client requirements• Submit invoices and follow up to ensure timely payment• Monitor validation, approval, and rejection of electronic billing submissions• Analyze and correct rejected invoices promptly• Maintain updated billing databases (rates, client agreements, etc.
)• Update client files and ensure compliance with billing policies• Prepare monthly billing reports and summaries• Process “Write Downs” and “Write Ups” according to internal guidelines• Participate in special projects assigned within the billing unit• Communicate clearly and professionally in English and Spanish• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately• Work with urgency and precision under tight deadlines• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information• Collaborate effectively with coworkers and attorneysMinimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Management)• Experience in service billing (non-medical)• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel• Familiarity with electronic billing platforms (e. g. , Passport or similar)• Fully bilingual – advanced verbal and written communication in English and Spanish• Professional discretion when handling confidential data• Availability for overtime during specific peak periods
