Deputy Application Engineer (100%) – Aeronautical SystemsLocation: Zurich, SwitzerlandStart date: 1 January 2026 (or upon availability)About the roleWe’re looking for a motivated Deputy Application Engineer for our customer in the aviation sector to strengthen our Gateway team and support critical aeronautical and meteorological data exchange systems. You’ll initially focus on operational (RUN) activities, then progressively take ownership of technical changes and improvements within a 24/7/365 environment.Your responsibilitiesPerform engineering activities on safety-critical applications.Analyse and resolve operational incidents in collaboration with stakeholders.Test, integrate, and validate application releases delivered by suppliers.Maintain up-to-date technical and compliance documentation (requirements, test cases, training).Provide technical training to maintenance teams based in Geneva and Zurich.Your profileDegree in Aeronautics, Telecommunications, IT, or equivalent field.Proven experience managing industrial or safety-critical applications.Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems, scripting, and IP protocols.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.Collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate into a team of senior engineers.Fluent in English (B2 or above); French or German is a plus.
