KPMG Jamaica’s Extended Support Services (JESS) is seeking a skilled Application Security Specialist to support our U.S. member firm in delivering world-class IT risk and security services.What You’ll DoAs an Application Security Specialist, you will:Conduct information and cybersecurity risk assessments for technology-enabled projects using industry-standard frameworks.Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure security requirements are met and risks are managed effectively.Advise on compensating controls and facilitate security testing and remediation planning.Lead skills development initiatives for security personnel and continuously improve operational security processes.Act as the primary liaison between IT project teams and IT Security, ensuring alignment of resources and timelines.What We’re Looking ForMust-Have Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional accreditation.Minimum 3 years of experience in information security assessment or compliance.Strong grasp of security principles, IT security controls, and related technologies.Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST (800-53, 800-171, 800-66), CMMC, ISO, HITRUST, PCI.Certifications such as CISSP or CISA (preferred).Proficiency in secure coding principles and application architecture.Advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Core Competencies:Communication: Clear, effective, and responsible communication across teams.Customer Service: Commitment to quality outcomes and internal/external service excellence.Collaboration & Teamwork: Building strong partnerships and achieving results together.Stakeholder Management: Influencing and engaging across all organizational levels.Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Logical, data-driven decision-making to mitigate risks.Drive for Quality: Organizing resources and monitoring processes to deliver results. Special Conditions:KJESS uses a hybrid work model, allowing staff to work from home in Jamaica or in the office.
