Job Description

An AR Environment Designer is responsible for creating highly immersive, interactive, and scalable digital environments based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology. This role requires spatial design skills, artistic abilities, interactive experience thinking, and a deep understanding of AR technologies and tools. The goal is to seamlessly integrate virtual content with real-world scenes, delivering innovative visual and interactive experiences to users.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and build AR scenes, spatial layouts, virtual objects, and interactive elements based on product requirements.Create high-quality 3D models and scenes using tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Maya.Optimize environmental performance and visual appeal for AR platforms (ARKit, ARCore, Vision Pro, HoloLens, etc.).Design user interaction methods within the AR environment to ensure usability and immersion.Work closely with product managers, development engineers, 3D artists, and UI/UX designers to complete projects.Model and blend real-world environments using technologies such as spatial scanning, point cloud data, and SLAM.Participate in developing AR design specifications to improve environmental consistency and scalability.Continuously monitor AR technology trends and propose innovative design solutions.Participate in user testing and optimize scene performance and interactive experience based on feedback.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree or above, with preference given to candidates majoring in 3D design, digital media, interaction design, computer graphics, or related fields.Proficient in using Unity or Unreal Engine for AR scene development and environment setup.Familiar with 3D... Modeling, texture creation, and lighting rendering workflow (Blender/Maya/Substance, etc.)Understanding the working principles and limitations of ARKit, ARCore, or other AR platforms.Experience in spatial design, virtual environment design, or interactive experience design.Possesses aesthetic sense and artistic expression, with a deep understanding of color, composition, and atmosphere creation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work smoothly with team members across different teams.A strong interest in AR technology and immersive experience design, along with a continuous learning ability.Bonus points (optional)Experience in Vision Pro/HoloLens/Magic Leap development.Familiar with spatial computing technologies such as SLAM, spatial recognition, and 3D reconstruction.Able to use Houdini for procedural scene generation.Experience in XR games, virtual exhibition halls, digital twins, and indoor/outdoor navigation projects.Familiar with interactive prototyping tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Maestro, etc.).Experience in animation, special effects (VFX), and lighting optimization.
