We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Section Head with a background in Civil Engineering or Architecture to oversee cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting for our high-profile construction projects. What You’ll Achieve: Cost Management & Budget OversightDevelop, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and contractual requirements. Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts to complete, and variance analyses to track project expenditures and identify risks.
Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or project timelines, discuss some with Operations Manager, Projects Managers and the planner, propose new sequence of work, acceleration plans ideas, all based on previous site experience. Financial Reporting & ComplianceEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting for internal stakeholders and clients. Project Support & Risk MitigationPrepare, maintain on periodic basis, a risk management log and share / discuss with top management. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to assess cost implications of design changes or delays, evaluating the resulting cost impact thereof and discuss with the management.
Leverage your civil engineering and architecture expertise to validate cost estimates and quantify technical variations. Review subcontractor invoices and payment certifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to contracts. Monitor and verify labors productivities, propose ideas for mitigating low project pace within the allowable costs. Team Leadership & CoordinationLead and mentor the cost control team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, training new employees not the adopted company policy in Cost Controls. Coordinate and periodically meet with procurement, tendering, planning, and execution teams to align cost control with project schedules. What You’ll Bring to ACC:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural degree. Minimum of 8 years in cost control (mandatory), preferably in the building construction or engineering sector. High experience in cost reporting modeling, mainly the earned value analysis, indirect cost histograms, cost at completion, CPI, SVI. (mandatory)Proficiency in cost management software and advanced Excel skills, SAP expertise is mandatory. Strong ability to interpret financial data, forecast trends, and resolve discrepancies. Proven experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration. Excellent command of English (Arabic is a plus) for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement. Professional certifications like PMP, CCE, or equivalent are advantageous.
