Architect - Facade, Theming & Stonework

OverviewJob DescriptionThe Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the execution of building facades, thematic elements, and stonework for high-end construction projects. This role combines creative vision with technical expertise to deliver aesthetically striking, structurally sound, and compliant exterior designs. The position requires close collaboration with clients, engineers and contractors, and artisans to ensure that all facade and stonework elements align with project specifications, approved shop drawings, materials, sustainability goals, and budget constraints.Your roleFacade Engineering documents review and supervisionReview and processing engineering submittals related to façade works including glazing, stone cladding and theming plaster renders.Review Contractor's shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments / approval.Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the works for Contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant's specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out.Attend project, site progress and any related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.Monitors procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.Project CoordinationWork closely with structural engineers to ensure facade and stonework designs are feasible and safe.Participate in client meetings to present design concepts and incorporate feedback.Provide technical support during construction to resolve facade-related issues.Quality & ComplianceConduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications.Ensure all designs meet environmental performance standards and energy efficiency requirementsAbout YouEducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.Specialization or certification in facade engineering or building envelopes is a plus.Experience8-10 years of experience in architectural design/supervision with a focus on facades, theming, and stonework within high end projects in KSA.Proven portfolio showcasing facade and stonework projectsProven track record of successfully managing large-scale design projectsTechnical SkillsIn-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction, local and international building codes and sustainability standards, and project's lifecycle.Technical assessments experience with extensive knowledge of Architectural detailing and façade systems.Coordination of various disciplines involved in project delivery.Strong knowledge of building materials, stonework techniques, and facade systems.Soft SkillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Preferred AttributesKnowledge of advanced facade technologies (e.g., curtain walls, ventilated facades).Experience in thematic design for hospitality or cultural projects.Understanding of stone sourcing, finishing techniques, and installation best practices.Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is a plusRewards & BenefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.This includes:Tax-free salary.Comprehensive life insurance coverage.Premium medical insurance for you and your dependents.Generous annual leave balance.Flexible and hybrid work solutions.Remote work opportunities outside of country.Company gratuity scheme.Discretionary bonus program.Annual flight contribution.Relocation assistance.Transportation & housing allowances (available for remote work locations)Employee Wellbeing Program: 24/7 access to specialists in finance, legal matters, family care, personal health, fitness, and nutrition.Seize every opportunity to sharpen your skills, expand your expertise, and be recognized for the impact you make.About AtkinsRéalisWe're AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.
