Company DescriptionFerrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.What is the project?A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River). Stations:One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station. Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations. Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown). The benefits to Ontario!Faster, more frequent, and reliable access to rapid transit with more than 227,500 people will live within a 10-minute walk of an Ontario Line station.Improve the quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time. Reduce crowding on the existing Line 1 (Yonge-University) subway. Up to 57,000 more jobs accessible by transit (in 45 minutes or less) for Toronto residents. Economic and community growth along the future transit line and thousands of job opportunities annually during construction. Job DescriptionOntario Transit Group (OTG) is seeking an experienced Architectural Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee critical infrastructure projects as part of the Ontario Line South initiative. Reporting to the Construction Manager, Architectural Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex architecture construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural trades of the station/s within the Ontario Line South initiative, according to the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies of the company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and subcontractors, to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules. Prepare budgets and update them accordingly, on a regular basis. Prepare monthly cost reports, comparing the real cost and checking the deviations compared with the baseline budget. Prepare monthly progress reports, assessing the progress executed and comparing it with the baseline schedule, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, and records of communications. Manage the Change Orders to be included in the subcontract’s scope of work. Follow and update the schedule on a regular basis, identifying the risks and the mitigation actions to be implemented to ensure compliance with the milestones. Oversee the selection and procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work, address issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations. Foster a culture of safety and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders. Manage and address the RFI’s sent by the subcontractors. Work jointly with Design Team to ensure that there is no lack of technical information to perform the work as per the schedule. Manage and address the NCR’s, jointly with theStay updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in architecture construction. Manage a team of several members, distribute roles to cover all works, documentations, report, progress that are happening on daily basis. Organize weekly meeting with subcontractors to ensure smooth progress on site, compliance with schedule and reduce interferencesWork jointly with other department (Civil works, Mechanical & Electrical, Logistics, Safety and Quality)Report any issues to Management related to safety, quality, schedule and costQualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management or a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum of 8 years of experience in Architecture construction project management, including large infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of architecture principles, construction methodologies, and project management practices. Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management tools. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in complex construction scenarios. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
