Our brands include Tempter's, Sunbaby, and CURE.Role OverviewHorticulture Co is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales, manage accounts, and grow our footprint across an assigned territory. This role focuses on CBD retail distribution in grocery, convenience, wellness, and beverage channels. We’re looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial salesperson with strong knowledge of cannabis and wellness categories who can educate partners, manage compliance-sensitive sales, and accelerate growth. The position offers a competitive base salary of $55,000–$65,000, plus commission and an annual bonus.Key ResponsibilitiesTerritory GrowthDevelop and execute a sales strategy that drives growth for both CBD and THC product lines.Prospect, pitch, and close new business across retail and distributor channels.Expand existing accounts through category management, promotional planning, and merchandising execution.Account & Customer ManagementServe as the main point of contact for retailers and distributors within the territory.Provide training and product education to retail staff and distributors.Execute promotions, activations, and brand experiences to drive trial and sell-through.Compliance & Market KnowledgeStay up to date on state and local cannabis regulations to ensure sales activities remain fully compliant.Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to inform strategy.Act as a resource to accounts on compliance-related best practices in the CBD and THC space.Brand RepresentationRepresent Horticulture co at cannabis trade shows, consumer expos, and local events.Build brand awareness by being a trusted advocate and educator for both CBD and THC lines.Ensure brand standards are consistently upheld across all channels.Execution & ReportingMaintain CRM records for account activity, pipeline development, and territory sales metrics.Deliver accurate forecasts and competitive insights to senior leadership.Track performance and adapt strategies to maximize growth in both CBD and THC markets.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.3–5 years of sales experience in cannabis, CBD, CPG, or functional beverage/wellness industries.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in multi-channel territory sales.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of CBD and THC product categories, consumer needs, and regulatory environments.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work across diverse accounts.Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools.Other RequirementsWillingness to travel extensively within the territory (up to 90%).Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and passionate about cannabis and wellness.
