The OpportunityThis is a pivotal moment to join an emerging yet ambitious gallery in Munich’s historic centre. As Gallery Manager, you will be the orchestrator of all gallery activities — from curatorial planning and client engagement to events, marketing, and operational leadership. You will play a defining role in shaping the gallery’s identity, reputation, and success within both the German and international art markets. Your work will bridge cultures — connecting the Central European art scene with global collectors and institutions — while maintaining the highest standards of artistic integrity and client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic and Commercial Leadership- Develop and execute the gallery’s sales and business development strategy.- Build and nurture a network of high-net-worth collectors, curators, and cultural partners.- Set and achieve measurable sales goals while maintaining artistic integrity.- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.- Negotiate art sales and collaborations with confidence and discretion.Curatorial and Artistic Direction- Co-create and shape the gallery’s curatorial vision.- Support exhibition planning and ensure aesthetic excellence.- Work closely with artists and collaborators to conceptualize engaging exhibitions.- Maintain deep knowledge of market trends and cultural developments.Events, Experiences, and Public Relations- Conceptualize and execute exclusive events and private viewings.- Build an annual calendar of public and VIP events.- Lead PR, media, and content storytelling.- Represent the gallery at international fairs and cultural gatherings.Operations and Team Leadership- Oversee daily operations: logistics, budgeting, and vendor coordination.- Supervise and inspire the team.- Manage inventory and documentation.- Report regularly on performance and sales.Candidate ProfileYou are elegant in approach, entrepreneurial in mindset, and driven by genuine passion for art and culture. You combine an eye for beauty with a business head — thriving where aesthetics meet ambition.- 2–4 years of experience in gallery management, art sales, or luxury/cultural sectors.- Proven success in sales and client relationship management.- Knowledge of the European art market, especially German and Central European scenes.- Experience organising exhibitions and events.- Fluent in German and English (Polish or another European language a plus).- Confident, detail-oriented, proactive communicator.- Culturally sensitive and emotionally intelligent.The Person We’re Looking ForYou believe art is both an investment and an emotion.
