The ideal candidate is a current university student (Art/Design/Art Education major preferred) with a passion for K-12 art education. This internship provides hands-on classroom experience, mentorship from experienced educators, and the opportunity to contribute to exhibitions, competitions, and departmental tasks. Key Responsibilities: Observation & Learning (First Month): Rotate among teachers’ classrooms to observe diverse teaching styles. Learn material management, safety protocols, and workflow organization. Active Classroom Support: Assist with pre-class preparation (setting up tools, organizing supplies). Provide in-class support (monitoring student tool use, aiding demonstrations). Help with post-class cleanup (sanitizing equipment, restocking materials). Aid in departmental tasks (exhibitions, art competitions, displays). Important Boundaries: No independent teaching—all student interactions are supervised. Strict adherence to school policies and safety guidelines. Qualifications: Current university student (Art/Design/Art Education major preferred). Interest in K-12 art education and classroom experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
