Job Description

Role Overview: The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality within the production and supply chain processes. They lead initiatives aligned with Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in production, packaging, and distribution, and implement solutions to streamline operations. Lean & Six Sigma Methodologies: Drive problem-solving initiatives using Lean principles to minimize waste and Six Sigma techniques to improve consistency. Data Analysis & Performance Metrics:

Monitor production KPIs, analyze trends, and develop actionable improvement strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, quality assurance, supply chain, and R&D teams to enhance workflow efficiency. Standardization & Best Practices: Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with food safety regulations. Employee Training & Engagement: Conduct workshops and training sessions to cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement in the organization. Cost Reduction & Sustainability: Identify opportunities to reduce production costs while maintaining high-quality standards and sustainability initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, food science, or a related field.

Proven experience in process improvement within food manufacturing or baked goods production. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies. Ability to analyze data and drive strategic decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience with quality assurance and food safety regulations. Experience with automation initiativesExperience in SAP, Cashmere, Oracle, NetSuite, or any other standardized ERP tool. Experience with quality systems and food safety regulations, FSMA, SQF, HACCP, etc. Location:  Harrisburg, PA, or willingness to relocate.  Travel is required to the manufacturing facilities in Harrisburg and Battle Creek.
